In their inaugural match at their home arena and during the 5th edition of the tournament honoring their esteemed late president, Pavlos Giannakopoulos, the newly revamped Panathinaikos, led by coach Ergin Ataman, secured a hard-fought 80-73 victory over Bayern Munich.

The standout performers for the Panathinaikos team were Kyle Guy and Mathias Lessort, each contributing 13 points, along with Jerian Grant, who chipped in with 11 points and six assists. Notably, the Greens were without the services of Luca Vildoza and Kostas Antetokounmpo for this game.

On the opposing side, Carsen Edwards, who had previously played for Fenerbahce and had since joined Bayern, showcased his scoring prowess with an impressive 22 points. Additionally, Isaac Bonga, a World Champion with the German national team, made a valuable contribution with 12 points.
