The Utah Jazz have signed forward Babacar Sane, according to the team’s announcement. Details of the deal were not disclosed, following team policy.
The Senegalese player has spent the last two seasons with the G League Ignite. During his time there, he played 46 regular season games, starting 16 of them.
In those games, Sane averaged 9.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest. His performance earned him a spot in the Jazz’s summer league roster.
At the 2024 Salt Lake City Summer League and the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas, Sane played three games for the Jazz. He averaged 5.7 points and 3 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.
In May 2022, Sane played for Dakar Université Club in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Elevate program. His BAL debut featured 8 points and 3 rebounds in a game against SLAC.
Before joining the G League Ignite, Sane had a stint with Dakar Universite Club, where he averaged 4 points in 10.9 minutes per game.
