Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic expressed his admiration for playing alongside three-time MVP Nikola Jokic on the Serbian national team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

For Jovic, this opportunity is significant, considering Jokic’s numerous accomplishments.

“I mean, it’s awesome. It’s not common to play with that type of player a lot and to play with him, I would say it’s an honor because I feel like he’s the greatest player ever from Serbia. It’s a great experience and it’s an honor to share the court with him,” Jovic said, via Tim Reynolds.

The Serbians are currently 1-1 in the tournament, having lost to Team USA 84-110 and beaten Puerto Rico 107-66.

Jokic leads the team in scoring, averaging 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 8.5 assists in 26.9 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, Jovic is averaging 7.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 16 minutes per game.

Serbia is set to close the group phase with a game against South Sudan, who also holds a 1-1 record after beating Puerto Rico and losing to the Americans.

Jovic’s experience playing with Jokic is a notable moment in his young career, reflecting the respect and admiration he has for his compatriot.
