Kendrick Perkins believes LeBron James will go to great lengths to surpass Michael Jordan in the GOAT debate.

James, at 39, is the oldest player in the NBA and on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

In a recent game, James led Team USA to a narrow 92-88 victory over Germany, scoring 11 of his team’s last 13 points.

Perkins remarked, “If LeBron James can get one up on Michael Jordan in that category, you best believe he’s going to do everything in his power to do that.”

James already boasts two Olympic gold medals from 2008 and 2012, along with a bronze from 2004.

A third gold medal in Paris would give James an edge over Jordan, who has two Olympic golds from 1992 and 1996.

This pursuit adds another layer to the ongoing discussion of who is the greatest basketball player of all time.
