The Golden State Warriors and Chris Paul have agreed to move back the date to guarantee his $30 million contract for the 2024-2025 season, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The original deadline for guaranteeing Paul’s contract was today, but it has been pushed to the start of free agency on Sunday, June 30, per Spotrac.

This adjustment provides the Warriors additional time to explore potential trades involving the veteran guard.

Paul, at 39 years old, played an essential role for the Warriors off the bench this past season, averaging 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 26.4 minutes per game.
