The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly among the teams interested in acquiring veteran center Brook Lopez, who has been made available by the Milwaukee Bucks in trade talks, according to Gary Woelfel.

Other teams mentioned as potential suitors are the Memphis Grizzles, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans and Houston Rockets.

Lopez, despite being 36 years old, showcased his value last season, averaging 12.5 points per game in the regular season and increasing to 17.7 points in the playoffs.

Known for his shot-blocking prowess, Lopez ranked third in the league with 2.4 blocks per game.

The Lakers’ interest in Lopez comes as they seek a starting center to complement Anthony Davis, allowing Davis to play his preferred power forward position.

Recently, Jonas Valanciunas has also been mentioned as a potential addition to bolster the Lakers’ frontcourt.

Lopez is entering the final year of his current contract with the Bucks, which is worth $48 million.
