Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas is attracting attention as he prepares to enter unrestricted free agency this summer after three seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Valanciunas has emerged as a prominent name linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, who are reportedly seeking to bolster their frontcourt.

Valanciunas, known for his physical presence and rebounding ability, could provide valuable support alongside Anthony Davis, allowing the star forward to focus more on playing power forward.

During the past season, the 32-year-old averaged 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 23.5 minutes per game.

Under the helm of new head coach JJ Redick, the Lakers are keen on reshaping their roster to optimize their championship aspirations for the upcoming season.

Valanciunas’ impending free agency has sparked interest from several NBA teams seeking an experienced center who can contribute immediately.
