NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Barnes intends to sign the extension on July 6th. Barnes’ agent, Bill Duffy, met with Toronto executives Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster to finalize the deal.

Barnes, who is 22 years old, averaged 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this past season. His performance solidified his role as the franchise cornerstone for the Raptors.
