The Toronto Raptors have converted rookie guard Jaden Bradley from a two-way contract to a four-year, $9.3 million NBA deal, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The first year of Bradley’s contract is guaranteed. Toronto selected Bradley with the 50th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after his junior season at Arizona.
Bradley was named Big 12 Player of the Year after averaging 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 39 games during the 2025-26 season. He shot 46.3% from the field, 39.4% from three-point range and 80.5% from the free-throw line.
The guard developed into a major contributor during his three seasons at Arizona after beginning his college career at Alabama. Bradley averaged 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 35 games as a sophomore before improving his scoring and playmaking as a junior.
Bradley also played five games for Toronto in the 2026 NBA Summer League, averaging 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 20.5 minutes per game.
Toronto is also converting Malachi Smith to a two-way contract, Scotto reported.
Smith spent the 2025-26 season with both the Long Island Nets and Brooklyn Nets. He averaged 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 39 G League games with Long Island, shooting 52.0% from the field and 42.2% from three-point range.
He also appeared in 15 NBA games for Brooklyn, averaging 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 48.5% from the field and 43.5% from three-point range.
Smith originally played at Gonzaga before beginning his professional career in the G League. He spent the 2023-24 season with the Rip City Remix and Wisconsin Herd before establishing himself as a productive two-way player with Long Island.
The moves give Toronto additional flexibility around a young backcourt that already includes Immanuel Quickley, Jamal Shead and Ja’Kobe Walter.
They also come during a significant offseason for the Raptors. Toronto completed its blockbuster trade for Kawhi Leonard on September 14, acquiring the former Raptors star from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, a first-round pick swap and two second-round selections.
Leonard is now set to join Scottie Barnes and second-year forward Collin Murray-Boyles as Toronto’s core pieces entering the new season. The Raptors also signed Kyle Anderson and drafted Allen Graves with the 19th pick.
Toronto reached the second round of the playoffs last season before losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games. The front office subsequently made Leonard the centerpiece of its offseason plans while continuing to develop younger players around him.
