Former NBA star Jamal Crawford predicted Luka Doncic’s game-winner right before it happened.
As part of the broadcast crew, Crawford was asked by Taylor Rooks to make a prediction for the play during a timeout.
“It’s going to be in Luka’s hands, he’s going to shoot a step back three… I think he makes it. He’s going to hop on one leg after he does it,” Crawford said.
The prediction came true as Doncic hit the game-winning shot, giving the Mavericks a 2-0 lead against the Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals.
With the clock ticking down, Doncic used a screen to draw Rudy Gobert out to the top of the key and executed a crossover dribble to set up his step-back 3-pointer.
Doncic’s shot with 3 seconds left secured a 109-108 victory for Dallas, marking his fifth triple-double of the playoffs.
Despite battling through injuries, Doncic showcased his resilience and skill, finishing the game with a triple-double of 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.
As the series shifts to Dallas, the Timberwolves must regroup and devise a strategy to contain the dynamic duo of Doncic and Irving to mount a comeback.
