Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns took part in his initial team scrimmage since sustaining a meniscus tear on March 4th, for which he underwent surgery on March 12th.
According to Shams Charania, Towns is nearing a return to action, with sources indicating a high level of optimism that he will be back on the court before the playoffs commence.
When Towns initially suffered the injury and underwent the procedure, there was hope that he could recover in time to play during the postseason.
