Seth Curry, Cody Martin, and Nick Richards have joined the growing list of injured players for the Charlotte Hornets, sitting on the bench in street clothes alongside LaMelo Ball and Mark Williams.
To bolster their roster, two-way players Amari Bailey and Leaky Black have been called up, and Marques Bolden was re-signed to a two-way contract.
Head coach Steve Clifford emphasizes the importance of the remaining season for the team’s younger players, emphasizing the need for them to focus on continuous improvement and cultivating a winning mentality.
Clifford aims to instill in them the understanding of what it takes to be successful in the NBA.
“With younger players, to me, it’s absolutely critical that they understand the importance of getting better every day,” Clifford said.
“I’m a firm believer, especially for younger guys, that their first experience is the way they view the league, the way they have to be taught how to be a good NBA player. I think they have to gain an understanding of how to win.”
