In a hard-fought battle, Tyrese Maxey led the Philadelphia 76ers (33-23) to a 104-97 triumph over the Cleveland Cavaliers (36-19) on Friday night.

Maxey finished the game with 24 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Newcomer Cam Payne’s impactful contribution off the bench with 16 points further bolstered the Sixers’ offensive firepower.

Maxey’s late-game heroics included scoring 15 crucial points in the final quarter, propelling the 76ers to victory.

Tobias Harris chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Buddy Hield added 13 points to the winning effort.

Despite a valiant effort from Jarrett Allen, who tallied 24 points and nine rebounds, and Darius Garland, who recorded 20 points and nine assists, the Cavaliers couldn’t overcome the Sixers’ resilience.

The absence of All-Star Donovan Mitchell due to illness further challenged the Cavaliers’ offensive rhythm.
