Recent speculation surrounding Furkan Korkmaz’s potential return to Turkey has been dismissed by the player himself, who clarified his current situation on social media.

Addressing the rumors, Korkmaz revealed that his visit to Turkey during the All-Star break was preplanned to spend time with family and friends.

Contrary to reports suggesting a move to Besiktas, Korkmaz confirmed that his agent is engaged in discussions with several NBA teams regarding his next career move.

In his message posted on X, Korkmaz expressed gratitude for the support and well-wishes he has received during this transitional period, stating, “Hi everyone, Before I say anything else, I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and well wishes regarding the next chapter of my career. At this point I feel the need to inform all of you about where things are. This was a preplanned trip to Turkey for the All-Star break so that I could spend a little bit of time with my family and friends. I will be going back to the United States in a few days, where my agent is currently holding talks with couple different NBA teams. Regards,”

Having appeared in 35 games for the Philadelphia 76ers this season, Korkmaz remains focused on his NBA future. He has been averaging averaging 2.5 points in 8.6 minutes per game this year.

Following a trade from the Sixers to the Indiana Pacers and subsequent waiver, Korkmaz’s immediate plans revolve around exploring potential opportunities in the NBA.
