Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov is facing an extended absence from the court after suffering an ankle sprain, the team has announced.

According to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, Vezenkov sustained the injury during a practice session in Oklahoma City ahead of the Kings’ matchup against the Thunder.

While the exact timeline for his return remains uncertain, sources indicate that the Bulgarian forward is expected to be sidelined for “at least a few weeks.”

Vezenkov, a former EuroLeague MVP, has been averaging 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in just over 12 minutes per game.
