Two years after acquiring Dejounte Murray from the San Antonio Spurs, the Atlanta Hawks are reportedly making the guard widely available for trade. He has reportedly drawn interest from the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Hawks have informed numerous teams about the availability of Murray, a former All-Star, ahead of the February 8 trade deadline.

The move comes despite Atlanta trading three first-round picks to acquire Murray in the first place. The Hawks are open for business, with only Trae Young and Jalen Johnson considered untouchable.

Murray, currently on an expiring four-year, $64 million contract, has been a key contributor for the Hawks this season. The 27-year-old guard is averaging 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 34.5 minutes per game.

Despite Murray’s solid performance, the Hawks are exploring potential trades, signaling a willingness to reshape their roster and consider long-term deals.

The Hawks’ openness to discussions raises questions about their future plans and the direction they aim to take with their roster.
