NBA’s gossip mill is buzzing, and it seems the Los Angeles Lakers are showing interest in a guard from the Eastern Conference. The target in their sights is Dejounte Murray from the Atlanta Hawks, as revealed by NBA Insider Shams Charania on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back” show.

While the Lakers have been linked to Hawks’ star Trae Young in the past, the focus on Murray has intensified following some unfavorable injury updates for Los Angeles just before Christmas.

He’s been consistently scoring around 20.3 points, dishing out 5.4 assists, and making 1.6 steals per game, all while playing alongside Trae Young.

Murray’s shooting stats are impressive too, with a 46 percent accuracy from the field and a 38.2 percent success rate from beyond the arc.
