Goran Dragic retired from basketball in the summer of 2024, with a special two-day farewell event organized by Spontanzo and the Goran Dragić Foundation, as reported by SiOL.net.

Starting his career in Slovenia in 2003, Dragic played internationally before joining the NBA. Drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2008, he spent significant time with the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat, later playing for teams like Toronto and Milwaukee.

A standout player, Dragic was named an All-Star in 2018 and earned the title of Most Improved Player in 2014, also making the All-NBA Third Team in the same season.
