In the early hours of Tuesday, Armoni Brooks and Jalen Wilson, both on two-way contracts, had just begun their training camp with the G-League’s Long Island team.

Meanwhile, Trendon Watford was eagerly anticipating his season debut with the Brooklyn Nets.

Fast forward to Wednesday night, and this trio played pivotal roles in the Nets’ remarkable 109-105 comeback victory against the Heat.

Armoni Brooks showcased his skills with an impressive 17 points, shooting 6 of 7 overall and an impressive 5 of 6 from beyond the arc.

In a whirlwind 24 hours or so, Brooks managed to contribute significantly, finishing with a remarkable plus-30 in just 15 minutes and 55 seconds of gameplay.

“So what’s today? Tuesday? Wednesday? So Tuesday morning I had practice with the team in Long Island, started training camp, had a good practice there. And right after practice, probably about noon, we found out we were coming to Miami,” said Brooks.

“We had to hurry up, go shower and catch a flight within three hours and landed about 7 o’clock last night. And we went to shootaround and just prepped ourselves to get ready to play.”
