Luka Doncic’s dazzling performance of 49 points, including a stunning tiebreaking 3-pointer in the final seconds, secured a 125-120 victory for the Dallas Mavericks over the Brooklyn Nets in a thrilling game on Friday night.

In the game, Cam Thomas led the Nets with 30 points, building on his remarkable scoring streak after setting a league record with 36 points off the bench in the season opener.

The matchup held additional significance as it marked the first encounter between the teams since the trade involving 10-time All-Star Kyrie Irving, who was sent to the Mavericks back in February.

Irving finished the game with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in 34 minutes of play. Meanwhile, ex-Maverick Spencer Dinwiddie added 23 points and 8 assists for Brooklyn.
