The Denver Nuggets, reigning NBA champions, are set to kick off the 2023-24 season with a highly anticipated home game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

This match not only marks the start of the new season but also serves as the Nuggets’ Ring Night, celebrating their 2023 championship win.

One player who knows the feeling of receiving an NBA championship ring all too well is Nuggets guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

He earned his ring as a member of the Lakers in 2020. Recently, Caldwell-Pope shared his thoughts on the upcoming Ring Night and the banter from his former Lakers teammates.

When asked by Mark Medina of SportsKeeda about the reaction from his ex-Lakers colleagues, who didn’t take kindly to some of the trash talk, Caldwell-Pope said, “No, I didn’t hear much from them. They can take it however they want to take it. We won. We just want to enjoy our championship and not worry about what everyone else is thinking.”

Regarding his expectations for Ring Night, especially as it involves facing the Lakers, Caldwell-Pope expressed, “The emotions are going to be all over the place. But for us, we want to start off strong for the season. Once we get our rings, that moment is over with. It’s a new season. We have to get ready and be prepared. Accepting your ring is always good, no matter who’s in front.”
