The Los Angeles Lakers are signing free agent guard Quinndary Weatherspoon, agent Daniel Hazan tells Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report (Twitter link).

While the specific details of the agreement were not disclosed, it appears probable that Weatherspoon will be entering into an Exhibit 10 contract.

This type of contract would make him eligible for a bonus of up to $75,000 if he is released and spends a minimum of 60 days with the South Bay Lakers, the G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Weatherspoon, a former second-round pick (No. 49 overall in 2019), has accumulated 42 NBA games with the Spurs and Warriors between 2019 and 2022, averaging a modest 6.5 minutes per night.

He took a hiatus from the league last season and played professionally in China during that time.
