The Washington Wizards have signed shooting guard Jules Bernard to an Exhibit 10 contract. This announcement comes alongside the decision to place Dejan Vasiljevic on waivers.

Bernard’s journey to the Wizards began after going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft. He played for the Detroit Pistons during the 2022 NBA Summer League and earned a spot on the Pistons’ training camp roster by signing an Exhibit 10 contract. Although he played in three of the team’s four preseason games, he was later released.

However, his basketball journey continued as he was named to the training camp roster for the Motor City Cruise, the Pistons’ G League affiliate.

On December 22, 2022, Bernard was traded from the Motor City Cruise to the Capital City Go-Go, another G League team.

During the previous season, the 23-year-old shooting guard proved his mettle in the G League, averaging an impressive 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
