Valencia Basket reached an agreement with combo guard Jon Stefansson to work together for three months, the club announced Saturday.

Stefansson (1.92 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Unicaja Malaga, where he averaged 5.1 points in 20 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He already played for Valencia in the 2006-07 season, averaging 4.1 points in 16 games. Stefansson has also played for CAI Zaragoza and Granada of Spain, Pompea Naples, Benetton Treviso and Lottomatica Roma of Italy, KR Reykjavik of his native Iceland, TBB Trier of Germany and Dynamo St. Petersburg of Russia.

He helped Reykjavik win Icelandic League titles in 2000 and 2009, won the FIBA Europe League crown with Dynamo and lifted the Italian Cup trophy with Naples in 2006. Stefansson shined at EuroBasket 2015, averaging 13.6 points and 5.8 assists in 5 games.
