It’s been over two months since Damian Lillard signaled his desire to be traded from the Portland Trail Blazers, with the Miami Heat emerging as his preferred destination.

NBA insider Shams Charania recently stated that Lillard would only consider reporting to training camp with his current team (Portland) or the Heat.

According to Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian/OregonLive, Charania’s report is “partially true”. While Lillard initially took a firm stance on his training camp preferences, it appears he may have reconsidered.

Sources indicate that he softened his stance back in July when the NBA intervened, given the complexities that arose since his trade request to Miami on July 1.
