After all, the Miami Heat truly covets Tyler Herro more than any other else amid the franchise’s ongoing inclusion in the Damian Lillard trade saga

According to Ira Winderman of South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Herro was only made available by the Heat via trade in two different scenarios wherein they only offered the hot shot guard to two of the greatest players ever: Lillard and Kevin Durant.

“As for the perception of being dangled by the Heat as if expendable, Herro only has been offered, actually offered, for only two players since being drafted out of Kentucky in 2019: Kevin Durant and Lillard. As in two of the best players in the game today and two of the top 75 of all-time.”

This came in with no such surprise since team president Pat Riley has been committed to Herro’s potential from the start. The rising star continues to improve season by season and already has a solid spot in Miami’s core foundation alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

As such, it remains yet to be seen if the Portland Trail Blazers will ultimately accept the Heat’s massive proposal starring Herro to finally let go of Lillard.
