The Phoenix Suns are said to have a “level of interest” with regards to the free agent rights of Bol Bol, via league insider Marc Stein.

Upon the recent trade they made with the Memphis Grizzlies which involved Isaiah Todd, the Suns have a new roster spot now to fill.

Bol Bol, 23, hit the market after he was released by the Orlando Magic earlier this week. He had a career year for the club wherein he averaged 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in 70 appearances in 21.5 minutes of play – numbers that he wasn’t able to enjoy in his first three seasons as a member of the Denver Nuggets.

With the big man’s value and the fact that Phoenix only has to settle with low-salary deals due to their massive cap allotment to Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Deandre Ayton, a partnership between the two appears logical as it is.

But with the Suns gunning for a title as a championship contender, Bol may have to consider the amount of playing time he’ll attain for his development should he join the veteran-laden squad.
