The controversial Dillon Brooks is certainly heading to a new team this upcoming free agency after the Memphis Grizzlies found their newest leader in Marcus Smart. As such, the contract that he desires for himself appears reasonable for what he’s worth.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the forward is reportedly believed to be looking to obtain a new deal that will pay him an annual rate of $12 million.

No matter how the majority of the people have developed their sour impression against him due to his on-court antics, this reported demand by the camp of Brooks is considerably logical due to his 3-and-D skills and fiery demeanor. In today’s NBA, versatile wings are a commodity and a must-have for every single club.

Brooks, 27, averaged 14.3 points, 3.3 boards, and 2.6 last season for Memphis en route to being named a member of the All-Defensive Second Team.
