The Suns opened the offseason trade market with a blockbuster trade by acquiring Bradley Beal from the Wizards.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, basically everyone in Phoenix wanted the three-time NBA All-Star as soon as it became known that he might be available. Even Suns’ stars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker recruited Beal to join them.

“Last week when the Bradley Beal and the Wizards began working on finding him a trade – because the Wizards are clearly moving toward a rebuild, they started working together on finding him a home – the Phoenix Suns aggressively went after Bradley Beal,” Charania said on FanDuel TV.
