The Washington Wizards have informed Jordan Goodwin that he’ll be included in the Bradley Beal package heading to the Phoenix Suns, sources told Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

Both the Wizard and the Suns are still continuing to finalize their major trade starring Beal, but it was confirmed that Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, several second-round picks, and a pick swap are about to land in D.C for the star shooting guard.

Goodwin, 24, is a second-year pro that was picked up by Washington as an undrafted cager. He averaged 6.6 boards, 3.3 boards and 2.7 assists in 62 games last year.

He was signed to a standard contract from his two-way deal in late February of the 2022-23 season, wherein both he and the Wizards have agreed to a $4.9 million pact for three years.

As Phoenix has dealt Paul, acquiring Goodwin on the transaction is also beneficial for them as they gained an additional ball handler and facilitator to at least cover the future Hall of Famer’s departure.
