Shayne Whittington rejoins the Indiana Pacers this time as a member of the team’s coaching staff, per Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files.

Whittington, an undrafted cager, started his professional career in Indiana from 2014 to 2016. In two seasons with the Pacers, he averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 boards in 27 total games.

He went on to play overseas for the next six years, suiting up for different teams in Spain’s Liga ACB and for Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia.

Earlier this week, the Pacers also welcomed back Larry Bird as their consultant. The hall of famer previously served as their head coach, president of basketball operations and advisor in previous occasions.
