The Lakers ended their season by getting swept by the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. The series Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, who is a huge Lakers fan, watched the series.

He shared his experience of watching Game 4 on FanDuel TV. “I started off the game kind of like ‘Okay, we’re down 3-0, it’s over,” Flea said. “So let me just watch this last game. Maybe we’ll get a win, maybe we’ll show some guts.’ It was almost like ‘Gosh, this is how it is for normal people to watch a sporting event.’ It’s entertainment – ‘Oh look I’m enjoying the game.’

“And then I started getting hope, and then they got up by 15 at the half. I was like ‘Oh my God, we can do this, we can win four in a row, we’ve got LeBorn James, they’re gonna find their magic.’ And then it just unfolded and down to that last painful play…

“It was very painful and sad. I was sad, I was up all night. I like woke up in the middle of the night, I was like ‘Why am so miserable? What is this existential despair? Why am I staring out into the abyss of this emptiness, like lack of hope for humanity? I was like ‘Oh yeah, the Lakers lost.'”
