The Golden State Warriors will look to remain flexible on their starting unit with Game 5 being a must-win scenario at their side.
Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Dubs will continue to start Gary Payton II and allow Draymond Green to play at center against the Los Angeles Lakers this Wednesday. This marks the second time that Steve Kerr adapts the Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Payton II and Green five-man lineup.
Payton II was productive in the last Game 5 against the Lakers, draining 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting to go with three boards and two assists in 23 minutes of play. As such, the veteran is expected to step up his reliability once again with their backs against the wall this second-round series.
Heading to Game 5, Los Angeles is leading 3-1 against Golden State on their epic West Semis bout.
