Tyler Herro broke the middle and ring finger of his right hand on the Miami Heat’s 130-117 first-round series opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. He will be out for approximately four to six weeks, per TNT’s Chris Haynes.

Herro sustained the injury before the halftime buzzer against the Bucks sounded. He took an unsuccessful dive for a loose ball and has shown discomfort in his hand afterwards.

The Heat announced him unavailable to return heading to the second half, capping off the evening with 12 points and two assists in 19 minutes.

Coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters in his postgame presser that Herro will be out for the rest of their playoff exploits this year. But if referring to the timetable handed by Haynes, he may see himself coming back in the Miami lineup if only the club delivers an astounding Cinderella Run en route to the NBA Finals in June.

With Herro out, who is their third-leading scorer this season (20.1), the Heat are facing the challenge of providing both Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo that supportive offensive punch. Thankfully, they managed to take an early 1-0 series lead over the Bucks, with Game 2 scheduled on Wednesday.
