Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown doesn’t want 2024 #13 pick Devin Carter to rush back from rehabbing his left shoulder (had successful surgery to repair a torn labrum earlier this month).

(via Sacramento Kings):

“He’s young enough to where it’s not necessarily going to hurt or harm his career. We’re going to be patient with him. We want this thing to be 100% back to normal, and so, there’s no rush on it right now. He may not have an opportunity to win Rookie of The Year or be on First or Second Team All-Rookie, because he may not play enough games. I don’t know, but he’s going to work his tail off. We feel like the doctors and our training staff are top-notch, and so, he’s going to do his part by working his tail off and getting out on the floor as soon as he can. When that happens, we’ll go from there. But there’s plenty of time for him to get acclimated and start his trajection upwards, so no concern.”
