The Lakers bounced back after the loss agains the Mavericks with the win over the Magic (111-105). Austin Reaves stole the show for the Purple and Gold with team-high 35 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists off the bench.

Superstar forward Anthony Davis, who recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, talked about the importance of this game for Los Angeles.

“Their team [Magic] obviously isn’t playing for anything and them are tough teams to beat, just like it was in Houston. They play free, energy. They’re a tough team to beat. They can hurt you,” AD said.

“Austin [Reaves] obviously got going. Our second unit came in got going. It’s always in the back of your mind. We knew this was a must-win for us and we went through whatever we could to secure this victory.”

With 35 wins and 37 losses the Lakers are back in the play-in zone. They are currently 10th in the Western Conference.
