The Lakers decided not to keep Patrick Beverley until the end of the season and traded the point guard to the Magic.

The 34-year-old point guard did not stay in Orlando as he was waived, along with Terrence Ross. Beverley opened about the trade and his time with the Lakers on a recent episode of The Pat Bev Podcast.

“It’s unfortunate. Trade is always different,” he said. “I caught a vibe with the team. It was cool, it was cool, it was cool. I wish we would have won a lot more games, obviously.”

He was the asked by Rone, the co-host of the podcast, why he thinks the Lakers couldn’t win more games.

“I don’t know. It wasn’t basketball. It was other sh*t. This other sh*t you couldn’t point out. It comes and goes. A little bit here, a little but there… The vibes sometimes on, sometimes off. An inconsistent vibe.”

Beverley also revealed that he learned about being traded to Orlando from his trainer who woke him up from a nap to break the news.
