The NBA announced Saturday that there are no such anomalies with regard to the registration of defensive statistics on the side of Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. this season.

NBA senior vice president of communications Tim Frank cleared things out by noting that the big man didn’t benefit from the alleged manipulation of his numbers.

A viral Reddit post appeared on Saturday, discussing anomalies being made for Jackson’s defensive statistics on every Grizzlies home game.

Jackson, one of the 2022-23 season’s favorites to bag the Defensive Player of the Year plum, is averaging 16.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks.
