LeBron James is expected to return next season for his 22nd year in the NBA, despite refusing to give a definitive answer about his future after season-ending loss against the Denver Nuggets.
His agent Rich Paul thinks that James, who will turn 40 years old in December, could play another five years in terms in terms how his body is prepared.
“I think body-wise, five years,” Paul said on All The Smoke podcast, via HoopsHype. “Understanding how to play the game mind-wise? Forever. Mind-wise as it pertains to frustration, to endure just like missing time with his family, with his wife… They’ve been unbelievable, they’ve been an unbelievable support system. At some point it’s gotta be about them. I think, from that perspective, maybe two to three years, from that perspective.”
This past season James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in 35.3 minutes per game.
