Jamal Murray finished with a weighed score of 15.5 in this year’s NBA All-Star voting among the Western Conference guards.

The 25-year-old point guard has never been an All-Star, but is not focused on getting selected. His main goal is winning the championship, he says.

Via Mike Singer of Denver Post:

“It’s not make or break for me whether I make All-Star,” he said. “I’m trying to win the championship. … I don’t want to shoot at All-Star, not make it, and all the sudden my mental is down because I didn’t make it or something. I already know I’m one of the best here. I have that confidence. I don’t need validation to know that.”

This season Murray is averaging 19.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 32.3 minutes per game.
