Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne is yet to make progress with regard to his foot injury.

Payne revealed on Sunday that he hasn’t made anything yet about his rehabilitation progress, with one week already completed towards his expected two-week timeline of recovery.

“I haven’t started doing anything,” Payne told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. “I think tomorrow when I get back into Phoenix, we should be doing our next checkups and check off a few things for me to get back on the court.”

Payne sustained a right foot sprain earlier this month against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also had a previous one that sidelined him for three weeks in December.

The veteran is expected to be re-evaluated later this month as he hopes to make an immediate return for Phoenix, with his ball handling serving as a significant element that backs up future hall of famer Chris Paul.

This season, Payne is averaging 12.1 points in 41.2 percent shooting to go with 2.3 boards. He is also tallying a career-best 5.3 assists per game.
