NBA player Cameron Payne recently took to Instagram Live to express his nostalgic feelings towards the Phoenix Suns. Payne, who was traded to the San Antonio Spurs last month, shared his admiration for his former team’s championship pursuit.
“I miss Phoenix already… They trynna win the chip and I respect it. I feel like they could’ve won a chip with me tho,” Payne candidly stated during the live session, via ClutchPoints.
The Suns, known for their competitive drive, have made significant strides in recent seasons. Payne’s departure came as part of a trade deal that also involved draft picks and cash considerations, underscoring the dynamic nature of NBA team rosters.
During the previous season, the 28-year-old point guard played a pivotal role for the Suns, averaging 10.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in just over 20 minutes per game.
