Apparently, the Charlotte Hornets haven’t opened up any discussions of a possible deal with Miles Bridges.

In a note they relayed for Charlotte Observer this Tuesday, the Hornets franchise disputed the reports of having contract talks with Bridges.

“We have not been engaged in contract negotiations with Miles Bridges,” the Hornets said in a brief statement, via the Charlotte Observer.

It was ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski who released a report last December that both Bridges and the Hornets were “gathering traction” on a new contract that could come in the “relative near future.”

Bridges remains an unsigned free agent following a scandalous arrest due to domestic abuse of his wife and children.

The big man pleaded no contest to a felony charge of domestic violence and was given three years of probation and avoided a jail sentence.
