With reports circulating that he is gaining much interest around the league together with veteran Eric Gordon, Kenyon Martin Jr. is apparently looking to pack his bag out of the Houston Rockets.

Per Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, multiple sources believe that Martin Jr. still wishes to play away with a different team amid increased role and minutes this season for the Rockets.

Forward KJ Martin has also hoped to be moved to a team that can give him a more significant role. His minutes have climbed in Houston this season, but multiple sources believe he still wants out.

This 2022-23 season, Martin Jr. had seen more exposure under coach Stephen Silas amid the frontcourt logjam of the team. At 21 years of age, the wingman has been turning heads around on a nightly basis given his energy, explosiveness, and athleticism.

It is safe to assume that the Rockets truly covet Martin Jr. given his fit on their current rebuild timeline. They may only pull the trigger and consider the outside offers to ship him away if it would definitely help them in the long run.

This season, Martin Jr. is averaging 10.5 points, 5.1 boards, and 1.4 assists in 54.2 percent shooting.
