JJ Redick expects connected Lakers from Day 1

JJ Redick believes the Los Angeles Lakers’ revamped roster can quickly establish strong chemistry despite substantial offseason turnover.

Nine players from last season’s team did not return, including LeBron James, Marcus Smart, Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura, Jaxson Hayes and Luke Kennard.

Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jake LaRavia are the only returning players who logged at least 600 regular-season minutes for Los Angeles last season.

The Lakers head coach has made team connectedness a priority entering his third year as strategist.

“There were times last year, there were times my first year where the team was connected,” Redick said. “I really believe this group is gonna be connected from Day 1. And they already are.”
