This season Jayson Tatum has entered the MVP conversation. Not only is he having his best year in the league thus far, but also the Celtics has the best record in the NBA.

Tatum was about his MVP candidacy after an overtime win over the Lakers in which he score game-high 44 points. “I feel like I’m the best player when I step on the court,” the 24-year-old small forward said.

“But I had some great players in this league. I got my work cut out for me, but I just try to focus on one game at a time, keep winning, keep building and let the rest take care of itself.”

This season Tatum is averaging 30 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4 assists in 37 minutes per game for Boston.
