Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is slated to return for the team this Tuesday. More than that, according to TNT’s Chris Haynes, the star point man is also starting against the Sacramento Kings.

Amid expectations that he’ll be considered out “week-to-week” after sustaining a Grade 1 left ankle sprain last Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it appeared that Morant made a quick healing progress as he only missed the team’s Sunday game over the Brooklyn Nets. Last morning, he was listed as questionable by Memphis against the Kings – initially hinting that all signs are pointing towards his full recovery.

With Desmond Bane sidelined in the meantime as he recovers from a toe injury, Morant’s service is much needed for the side of the Grizzlies, who is averaging 28.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 14 games so far this season.

The Grizz (10-7) will look to climb higher in the Western Conference ladder against the red-hot Kings team (9-6) vying to keep their consistency in hopes to slash the longest postseason drought that is tagged to them.
