Milwaukee Bucks star swingman Khris Middleton was assigned to the team’s G League affiliate Wisconsin Herd, sources told Eric Nehm of The Athletic. He will go with rookie MarJon Beuchamp for practice within the club this Tuesday.

Middleton has been ruled out for the early portions of this 2022-2023 season as he continues to recover from an off-season wrist surgery. But this assignment hints that he is making good progress to be back on the court soon.

Despite his absence, the Bucks are boasting an unblemished, league-best 6-0 to start this new year behind the marvel of Giannis Antetokounmpo. As such, his long-term health and availability will serve as one of the most important ingredients for the franchise to be back on top once again.

In his All-star year last 2021-22, Middleton averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 boards, 5.4 assists, and 1.2 steals in 66 games played.
