The beef between NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard has been ongoing for a number of years now. Usually, it’s coming from Shaq who takes shots at Howard.

In a recent conversation with two former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, Howard said that he does not know why O’Neal is going at him.

“I don’t know why he was like that. I never had no issues with Shaq,” the 8-time NBA All-Star said. “I never wanted to be like Shaq, but I enjoy watching Shaq do what he do. I think he’s the most dominant player to ever play. There’s no player as dominant as Shaq.

“I remember in 11th grade watching him play against Dikembe Mutombo in the Finals catching every time, elbow to the chest, turn around dunk on him every time. I’m like ‘Yo, this is crazy.’ So I’m, like, why is he hating on me? If anything, I used to be happy somebody is trying to follow in their footsteps.”

Despite all the comments that he has received from Shaq, Howard says he has no blood with him. Moreover, he reached to the five-time NBA champion for a work our and business opportunities.

“I don’t know why he had that against me,” he said. “I reached out to try to work out with him, do business, whatever it may be because I ain’t got no bad blood with Shaq, but it just seemed like it’s always something between me and him.”
