As there is now an ongoing conversation and assessment within the Boston Celtics hub, there are buzzes that Ime Udoka could be slapped with a hefty punishment.

Sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that though there’s no finalized verdict yet on the length of the suspension, the internal discussions around the franchise brass includes scenarios wherein Udoka will be shelved for the entirety of the 2022-2023 season.

In hindsight, this will be a huge swing on the Celtics’ title hopes next basketball year. As they stand as one of the league’s championship heavyweights, the absence of Udoka can deliver a huge disturbance on the squad’s rotation, chemistry, culture and familiarity with each other in the long run.

For now, Joe Mazulla is being rumored a likely candidate to fill in as an interim coach with Udoka’s impending unavailability

Udoka is set to be hammered with a highly severe suspension after reports have provided that he had an improper intimate and consensual affair with the team’s member of the Boston staff (initially revealed by Shams Charania of The Athletic).
